Under the revised CEPA schedule, basmati rice, cardamom, and processed mango products now attract zero or near-zero UAE import duty. The concessions apply from 1 June 2026 on shipments with valid APEDA certificate of origin.

Check the updated CEPA tariff schedule on Commerce Ministry website. Ensure your certificate of origin is APEDA-issued before 1 June shipments depart.

EU and Japan markets at risk if pre-clearance fails.

Thrips palmi has been detected in Ratnagiri and Devgad orchards. EU and Japan require zero pest tolerance on fresh mango shipments. Infested consignments will be rejected at port of entry with return-to-origin costs on the exporter.

Contact your PPQS-accredited fumigation facility before booking your next mango shipment. Request a pre-clearance inspection certificate from PPQS Ratnagiri office.

📢 TRADE ROUTE UPDATE
RASFF Week 21 Flags India Spice Consignments for Aflatoxin.
Cumin, chilli, and mixed spice blends under EU border scrutiny.

💡 Impact
Six Indian spice consignments were notified in RASFF Week 21 for aflatoxin B1 levels above EU limits (4 micrograms per kg). All six were rejected at Rotterdam and Hamburg. Frequency controls for Indian spices at EU ports are now elevated.

✅ Action
Test all cumin and chilli batches for aflatoxin B1 against EU Regulation 2023/915 limits before shipment. Use only NABL-accredited labs for results accepted at EU ports.

APEDA has announced a hard deadline of 15 June 2026 for organic product exporters to renew or obtain fresh NPOP certification. Post-deadline, APEDA will not issue export certificates for organic products without valid NPOP registration on file.

Log into the APEDA AGRI portal and check your NPOP certificate expiry date today. Submit renewal documents at least 10 working days before 15 June to avoid processing delays.

India to USA West Coast rates have risen sharply following vessel capacity reductions by MSC and Maersk on the transpacific lane. Europe NW remains stable despite Red Sea rerouting. Middle East Gulf rates softened on new tonnage.
